Our Call
We are a small group of local Christians who believe God can and will move significantly in this and all communities. This movement is all about Christians, in response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, taking action in a manner to demonstrate a powerful witness of Jesus Christ having as its focus those among us most in need. God has called Home To Home to encourage and assist His faithful to engage the most needy of our communities with a more visible witness that all the world may see Jesus and take note.
Our Motivation
This is Ministry inspired by the first century Church as described in Acts 2:44-47. Sharing with others, being motivated and prompted by the Holy Spirit, inspired by the love of Jesus, and commanded by God to be powerful and effective witness.
We believe that as the Holy Spirit moved among the early Christians in a manner that prompted and made possible an undeniable and relevant witness of Jesus in their community, that He, the Holy Spirit, is now moving in a manner to motivate and prompt today’s Church to have an undeniable and relevant witness in their community – their Jerusalem.
The Difference, Then & Now
In early Jerusalem the Holy Spirit moved through the early believers in a powerful manner that was relevant to the times and the culture to establish the Church. The people took note!
In today’s Jerusalem, our communities, living communally would not have the same effect. Circumstances have changed. However, we believe that God is calling Christians to powerfully renew the witness of our common faith in a loving and compassionate Christ that transcends denominational differences. Our response to this call is the creation of Home To Home.
All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2:44-47 (NIV)
The world took note then and the world will take note now!
